Martin Corri

Martin was born in Southend-on-sea, and studied the Checcetti technique at the Royal Ballet School.

He danced for 10 years with the Netherlands Dance Theatre, under the direction of Jiri Kylian, working with William Forsyth, Matz Ek, Nacho Duato, Hans Van Manen, Ohad Naharin, and Paul Lightfoot.  He then joined the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel as a dancer and teacher.  During his 16 years in Israel, he taught at all the major dance companies either as a guest teacher or in the capacity of Rehearsal Director including Bat Sheva Ensemble and Bat Sheva Dance Company, KCDC, Emanuel Gat, and Kombina.

Now based in London, he has recently been guest teacher for Rambert Dance Company, Michael Clark, National Dance Company of Wales, Balletboyz and the Vienna Festival Ballet.
