Pushing the boat out

This week has been a bit of a whirlwind!
We had hoped to be able to rehearse on the rig and in the performance space all week, but because of the weather we’ve been hold up in cathedral windows and the NT Studios doing as much as we can without most of our equipment. I think this must be one of the wettest Junes ever! But despite that we’re definitely on the right track and the show is certainly coming together. Both Nikolaj and Aislinn have given us great energy and achieved a huge amount in what is essentially a very short time, and it’s wonderful to see Nich and Aislinn’s Chinese Pole Duet in the show. Such great acrobats!

What is just remarkable about being at the National Theatre is the incredible technical support that comes with being here. Wayne Harris, Jonas Roebuck and Monkey have been an amazing help with the sound, and Huw Llewellyn has just saved the day by not only offering to re-create our lighting design, but also giving us all the lamps we need and the fully programmed LX board to take with us for the rest of the tour #guardianangel!
