A visit from UEA

Today we had a visit from Jonathan Impett, Stephen Bennett and a group of their students at the University of East Anglia, who came to have a look at what we are doing and to help with fixing microphones to the rigging. The idea is to amplify the sounds made by the performers as they use the rigging, and then to be able to use some of these sounds to add to the drama of the show.

We experimented with contact and boundary microphones in different positions on the rigging to see what kind of effect they would have and the results were pretty exciting!
